check out the new North pad/strap systems:
Had a chance to get my feet into these things recently and its the first time in a long time ive had any interest in riding straps.

Got some on the way, contact DKB if you want to test the hype.
In your experience, do boots put less strain on the extensor tendons on top of the foot when riding? Say if you have some extensor tendonitis that flares up from straps....
I have thought about this cuz you can feel more in some strap/boot setups. depends on the model and fit of the boot i think. if the fit is sloppy or the boot is soft it wont necessarily help. if the boot is snug and has a bit of stiffness I think there is plenty of extra support.

there is a pair of last years LF Centurys laying around the shop. mid flex. super light. slap on your stick and get some sessions on them, see what you think.
