Chrissy will hand you your ass in a heartbeat, major respect for that joint. Need big kite when you launch to get out, gusty as f...! Then medium size kite when you're cruising, then high wind kite when you're out in the middle under the bridge or on the other side. Don't end up on Alcatraz with Al Capone.

We need some sort of informal local series!

Had a fun race. First guy to use a twin-tip in three years. The guys were super-cool. All gear is changing really fast. Some had huge 20cm fins. Upwind was actually OK, but I got killed downwind. Totally different technique. Dinner at the St. Francis Yacht Club was a nice plus.

Of course I was dead last in all three races. Technically a little higher but only due to a couple of DNF.

Tides are quite important in the SF Bay as are marine radios.
