Any one know someone that can repair a kite sail canopy. Had a tear going from the bow to stern right near a strut. The kite is only a year old so I would like to repair it. Would prefer to bring it to someone on the canadian side of the border.

It is a 15 M Slingshot Rev. (was self landing when I notice the tear appear.....I think it is some type of manufacturing or design flaw as I can't ever recall crashing the kite...I thought slingshot kites were supposed to be built tough).

Thanks for any suggestions.

some really good places in toronto and barrie. it's a hike from windsor but the results are raved about.

check it out here: http://www.thechickenloop.com/index.php?op...246&catid=2

there is www.kiteloft.ca and http://www.hurricanecanvas.com/homepage.htm and Genco Marine on Queens Quay. avoid PB Kiteboarding cause they're expensive and not the best.

hope this helps

Boston sails won't fix anymore kites. They don't even like to fix windsurfer sails, it would be a waste of time to even call them. I worked for the Bostons for 5 years and they wouldn't even fix one for me now if i asked them to.

I have taken a few kites to Dynamo Designs. He does real good work and is in your area. Just make sure you take your bladder out. If this link doesnt work yellow page dynamo designs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up taking it to the shop in Windsor (Dynamo Designs) that Mike P had recommended. Turned out his kids are my patients. Seemed to have done a good job. About $100 including taxes for a 1.5 hour job. Took about 6 days to get it back. I still have to test if all the bladders if they still hold air....he said he didn't have to involve any of the struts or edge so should be good.
