The other day we were riding and a cop shows up saying that he got a call from
a duck hunter complaining we were riding to close to his blind.

The person who was riding was me and the closest I came was about 500' downwind from him on one pass.

Another wind surfer was there who was a former police officer and he started to question the officer
as to what laws were being infringed upon. The officer admitted he couldn't state chapter and verse.

Here is a response from the MNR,

"Thank you for your enquiry.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, section 13 indicates the
following:

Obstruction of hunting, trapping or fishing

13. (1) A person shall not interfere with lawful hunting, trapping or
fishing by,

- tampering with traps, nets, bait, firearms or any other thing used
for hunting, trapping or fishing;

- placing himself or herself in a position, for the purpose of
interfering, that hinders or prevents hunting, trapping or fishing; or
- engaging in an activity, for the purpose of interfering, that
disturbs or is likely to disturb wildlife or fish.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act is available online at
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca.

Additional information can also be obtained from your local MNR office
in Chatham at 519-354-7340 or Aylmer at 519-773-9241."

I have printed this off and keep it with my kite gear.
