From the buoy and from looking out my window at
all the white caps i'd say an epic day is on tap at MB.

Just spoke with Mike on his way out there, said it looks good.

Its 11.30.

See you out there

MB is too far for me. sad.gif

Does Belle River Work on a West or is it off shore on a straight west?

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

We didn't miss anything from what I can see. i bailed out
about half way there after getting a message from Mike that
it was marginal. Looks like it came up late in the afternoon
for a while.

Regarding BR, straight side shore there out of the west can be challenging.
Launching on the usual West side you are always tacking up away from the
pier and the waves are very confused bouncing off the pier.
That being said, the east side of the pier can offer some
awesome flat water conditions. There is a launch on the east side of the pier
it can get quite "mucky". When the wind is just slightly onshore
say 280 degrees it is much more stable and steady. One thing to watch for when
kiting side shore is for the wind to go even slightly off shore. From past experience
I know it can be a lot of work getting back in, since the closer you get to shore the
more unsteady the wind gets due to coming off the trees, buildings on the shoreline.

If the water is over your head this can lead to a very long swim!
