I'm heading to Belle River this afternoon. Any one else? Forecast looks strong.

Hey guys,

Anyone planning to go out to either Belle River or Maumee Bay? The forecast looks good right now anyway. If it holds and the weather is ok I'll probably be there around 3pm. (I'll make the final call in the AM.)

I hear that the air races Sat and Sunday have sold lots of tickets, both on the American and Canadian sides. I was thinking of riding on the Canadian side on Saturday, but don't want to get stuck in a huge back up.

Anyone have more details?

If I don't hear differently, I think I'll avoid crossing to CA this weekend, and maybe the whole Detroit area. This might be a good time to try out Maumee Bay again, since the forecast is NW.

Hey Folks,

If the forecast holds, it looks like Belle River will be the place to be on Sunday. I'm planning to be there from about 1-5pm. I think Todd will be there somewhat earlier. Anyone else?

I hesitated to post this because of the whole jinx factor, but I'm taking the chance.

Sat. looks good on LSC. So far the forecast from iKitesurf and the NWS Marine keep improving with each update. Right now iKitesurf is showing a peak early afternoon of 22 mph SSW for the LSC buoy. The forecast has it turning more SW-W late afternoon/evening as the low pressure system passes.

It is tough to decide where to go when the wind clocks around from S to W! Metro is good on S of course but it starts to suck more and more as the the wind shifts West.

I guess I'll have to make the call on location after the morning forecast update.
