Hello all,

Thinking about giving the snow a whirl tonight after work, something like 6-6:30 I should be there if anyone is interested. I haven't been there after dark, but I've heard there is enough light to make it work. PM me for my contact info.

I'm jealous of your Conneaut session yesterday... anyone up for Edgewater today?

Who wants to downwind from Sims to Euclid beach tomorrow afternoon/evening? First good wind forecast I've seen in a while, hope its not too much on my 12...

Or feel free to suggest another good spot for a NE.

Hello all,
I went down to Hatteras to get some lessons and came back with some gear (12M Cabrinha Convert). Got up and rode down there, much better left foot forward than right, and never done a transition (other than sit my butt down and start the other way). The sound is super forgiving, as it is shallow and the waves were mostly just chop in 18-20 mph wind. Unfortunately, in the week I was there, it was only blowing enough to kite for about 6-8 hours total. I was out on Erie once since then and the winds were side onshore, leaning towards onshore, and I was having a hard time staying out far enough to be comfortable. Popped up briefly and sat back down, then board drag some more. I'm looking for people to go out and ride with in the Cleveland area. Seems like better places for beginners include are Edgewater, Mentor Headlands, Conneaut, Presque Isle, Maumee Bay. Seems like there should be some good spots around Sandusky, but I haven't heard of too many. Is it worth going out to the islands/has anyone been out there? Few places have much room to go downwind, which makes it hard to learn. Any advice for a new rider on these locations? Please post if you going out riding in the Cleveland area (plus or minus an hour drive), or email me at jxb176@case.edu and perhaps we could exchange contact info? Thanks!
