I'm sure this has been discussed, but couldn't find anything on it. I am 180lbs. and 6'1" and am ready to start jumping. Is there a right size board for me for riding around here? I've been looking at the '09 liquid force Recoil. Anyone have the LF Recoil that can recommend a good size based on my ht. or wt... Already have a light wind beginner board ~150. Tks much.

Let me start out by saying I'm still a newbie (<1yr.) . I've read a number of forum postings on the subject of lofting, seen kitemares on vids.; an 800' incident in Cabarete comes to mind.
Anyways, everything I have read/seen says to launch, then keep the kite low and go.

It seems that at many sites, especially Metro that the riders I have seen, launch, then park at neutral while they walk across the lawn. Isn't this setting up to get lofted across the lot? I know the tree shield at Metro may make it tough to keep the kite low.

Just looking for some input , as everyone I see seems to break the above rule.
