I scored a 2 hour Super Lifty Metro Session this afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. I was all alone until Vlad showed up to enjoy it around 4pm. I rigged my 18M with extensions and was on my small board. I did not really need my extensions once I got on the water, but I was having too much fun to go back in and take them off.

I hope some others got as little before the storms rolled in.

Hey, I just ordered my next kite related toy, a SandBoard. It should arrive before I leave for KOGL.

Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, here I come!

Looking to update the data on www.KiteMI.com

Is there a riding spot on lower Lake Huron for a South wind? I have Lexington and Kraft Rd working on a SE, but no South spots.

Will either of these work on a S?
If Yes, should I update this on my site?
What about Lake Port State Park?
What directions work best here?
Anything just over the Bridge on the Canadian side?

Hook a Turtle up!

Not by kite, but by my unmanned Jet Ski

My jet ski broke anchor and was blown out to sea on Lake Huron 8/17/07 at Tawas Point State Park. West winds 30+ waves’ overhead turning NW later in the afternoon. It washed up a week later at Sleeper State Park. For anyone not familiar with Lake Huron this is over 23 miles from point to point.

I always wanted to attempt the trip on a kite and would never think to try it on a Jet Ski. All is well; I will be picking it up today.

I think this means I found everything I lost the GLK Comp weekend.

6am Buoy was 18-20 NNW, I was thinking of a sunrise session.

I have to head back around noon and that is when the wind is predicted to die out.

Anyone going to join me?

John
