New to the sport and forum this summer, but looking forward to Snow Kiteboarding.

Is Lake St Clair a good snow spot?
Any other good spots close to Metro Detroit or in MI?
What kite sizes are more freq used in the winter in MI for a 200lb rider?
Do you see anyone out their on Skis rather than a snowboard?

Turtle, lake st.clair is a good spot if the ice lays flat and doesn;t bunch. Lake Erie is also good, the past winter i have had a couple great sessions on Erie. Any farmers field(with permission of course) with no obstacles is also good. I ride a 12 and 16m all year round. Those sizes are good. I am also 208lbs and have no problems with those sizes. Not to many people around these parts ride skis, mostly snowboards. To each there own. I hope this helps. See on the water or snow.
