EVENT OVERVIEW
On Saturday April 25th the course will be set up for everyone to get their feet wet. Come on out and run the course, meet the crew and register for races that start Sunday April 26th through Friday May 1st. Our plan is to run multiple heats as qualifiers (weather permitting) with a final on the same day for each class. A traditional triangle course layout is planned, but we may mix it with a downwind race ocean side and/or capture the flag, etc. We will post the agenda, standings, results and day-to-day updates on the KiteUS Forum starting Friday April 24th. After the team takes a look at the extended forecast Friday we also post a tentative race schedule for the week and post it here. http://www.kiteus.com/forums/index.php?sho...c=7667&st=0

I attached the PASA Insurance Information for everyone to review. Due to insurance related issues everyone needs to register their skill level and buy the PASA liability insurance policy if you don't already have it for 2009. It is a quick process and can be done on-site, but it does cost $50. It comes with a magazine subscription to off set the costs and is good for the year not just this event and you are covered when you ride in the US & Canada.

Attached File  PASA_Info_Letter.pdf ( 516.69K ) Number of downloads: 1

There is no cost to register for the event, only for the policy.

Day 1 Saturday 4/25/09

The registration and free ride day was perfect; sunny, 75 degrees and SSW 20-25 all day long. 12M conditions from early on in the day followed by 8M conditions through sunset. The day 2 forecast is more of the same.
