Thought it might be fun to post some of our favorite pics from last season...since we don't have any from this season yet.

Hopefully I uploaded the images correctly. If so...

The first one is Joel H killin' it on a SW wind on Erie...we launched him from the boat about a 1/2 mile out. Sorry for blurry photo, but he was moving fast. I scaled the picture and figure he is about 20 feet in the air on this one.

The other one is Brad cruising the shallow water up at Harsen's Island on Lake St. Clair

You gotta go with Heinz kiting in front of the city!

I'm trying to get the "gallery" section of the forum working. Should be up soon to house them all.

Very cool pic of kiting infront of the city! Im new to Ohio...transplanted from Michigan and working at a newspaper in Sandusky. If anyone ever wants to sell out for me infront of my camera lens I'll be more than happy to oblige.

Anytime its windy I'll have my camera nearby....unless Im doing some riding myself of course!

It's not Ohio kiteboarding, but I figure any kiteboarding is good kiteboarding right? Here's a pic of Joe Bidawid ripping a wave in South Haven, Mich. last year, one more of Kyle from Detroit Kiteboarding boosting in the flats of East Tawas, Mich. and one more of things wrapping up for the day, again at Tawas.

Where is Tawas?

Tawas City, Michigan on Lake Huron. Its a sick place to ride! I'll be making a few weekend trips up there this summer.

The "ponds" are behind that 30 foot wide spit of sand that sticks out. Super shallow and extremely flat. A few underwater obstacles to avoid though. It is ridable on almost any wind direction but on a south wind especially it rocks!

Tawas is a killer spot man...you've gotta make the trip at least once this summer. It's best on a hot sunny SW day like Joel. The thermals kick in and you can ride until its too dark to see anymore with them.

Sign me up! Let me know when you are going! I have a lot of vacation time saved up, so I can even take some Mondays or Fridays off for a 3 day weekend.
