Jayrod and I grabbed our identification and headed south into Ontario yesterday. We picked up Timmy B on the side of the road and set the GPS for Erieau. We arrived to find Mike P out on his 9 Boxer and disapearing in the troughs, an excellent vantage point was provided by the pier sticking out into the roiling lake. I wish my Camera battery had'nt been dead cuz I would have got some nice shots (where were you when we needed you Dan?). We got real pumped when we noticed he had that thing fully depowered, trim strap a'flappin. We rigged up and headed out on 8, 10, and 12s and got into the fray with the wind mellowing some. Waves were breaking consistently shoulder high with sections of clean glass, in other spots long walls. Watched and enjoyed as the port tackers rode waves for 200 meters into the shore, I was able to set up and smack some starboard but no long rides for moi. Well rounded shredding from MP, starting on a Thorn tt, then surfboard, then strapless skim when the wind went ballistic. This went on for hours as the skies blackened, then sun, then dark again with a little pelting rain. Got a little dodgy when it switched from side on, to side shore, to side off.

OPP to Jayrod " next time ride in the states", ask him about that one when you see him.

Caution: The wind direction was SW for the most part, good and ridable but you are exposed on westerlies, for advanced riders only. ENE, E, SE would rock here too and be much better for progressing riders.

Thats for clueing us in on this Tim, great new spot.

KK
