Always a great event that has produced epic conditions each year. Costume party, bon fires and the night life in downtown Oscoda has never disappointed.

Make reservations early, it does fill up quick. I am coming in Thursday night and leaving Sunday afternoon.

More details from Brian Lefeve at Great Lakes Kiteboarding coming soon!

Well, all survived the 4th Annual KiteMare Bash this weekend. It will go into the record books as topping last years event. Multiple sessions everyday in Tawas Bay and the State Park Cabin was a great changing area and party central for the entire weekend. Lots of new faces and many old ones showed up.

The highlights for Halloween costumes were a white rapper (DJ Turtle), freaky clown (Chris), hula fireman (Erik), escaped convict (Paul), Batman (Curtis) and I know there were more but for the life of me have no recollection!

I have hats, shirts, board shorts, kiteboard, chairs, pumps, bars/lines, wet suits, gloves and a couple un-metionables that were left in the State Park Cabin. I will post them all in the new Lost & Found Section later today with pictures.

I did not take one picture except for Thursday, so help me out if anyone has some. Email them to me at JohnW@KiteMI.com and I will post them in the photo gallery.

The new owners of the Mia Tiki are great people. The place will remain a resort and not be turned into condos as we previously thought. They are up updating all of the cabins and rooms over the next year and welcome kiteboarders. That is good news, the Mia Tiki is a great spot for big waves and down winders.

Until next time!

John
