I wanted to see if any of you guys have any tricks that i do not know about as far as inflating inflatable kites in cold weather. On really cold days, it is really hard to pinch the valve.

No wise cracks about getting a foil smile.gif


It is better in the snow :)

As for launching and landing, a helper is nice if you don't have a relaunch system on your kite (Naish Shift, North 5th element, Cabrinha Recon, Windwind Jump Start, Wipika CLS etc..). Otherwise not really a problem. You can use the snow like you use the sand for self launch too.

It's always better not ride alone anyway in case you get into trouble.

But in Erie, where I usually ride, there is often no snow on the ice. And its not that I ride alone. Its just that the people I ride with aren't very experienced with inflated kites. They've been doing this for almost 15 years on foils.
