are you looking at a forcast or the water??

Verm bouy and crib both reading less than 5.

The crib web page doesn't seem to be working for me.

I was looking at
http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KCLE.html

Wind from the NNE (030 degrees) at 12 MPH (10 KT)

Experience tells me that when its NE on a sunny day, it usually picks up.

I just drove by the Cleveland lakefront, and its glassy.

The giant flag at Rick Case Honda on E200 is droopy.

Just didn't happen today.

Doesn't look good for the weekend, either. A couple of days ago they said W 10-20 for Sunday, but now they've changed it to S less than 10.

Just got back from Miami, and it was awesome. Mike at the Kite House set me up with my best day of kiting yet. For $75 US he takes you by boat to the south of Key Biscane, where he sets your kite up for you on the flats. The flats strech from Key Biscane south about fourty miles. I was the only kiter out there, 12m Crossbow 2, perfect 18-20 kts, little to no chop, and to make the session complete mike gave me his water-proof Ipod. I will be planning my next trip soon. I suggest you join in.

This sounds good and all but .... what happened to CLARISSA??????

For $25 I'll drive you to a polluted lake erie spot, pump up your kite and sing whatever song you want while you are out riding. The spot features a broken glass beach, countless dead fish, giant trees floating in the water and classy people backed in their parking spots willing to "party" with you. biggrin.gif

Joel I'm sure we will make our own Miami here in Cleveland we just need to look a little harder. Unfortunately Clarissa was not in town to give me a lesson. The funny story is when I meet up with Mike, the other instructor on the site, I almost put my proverbial flip-flop in my mouth. I was just about to comment about some of her photos when I had the sense of mind to ask if he was dating her. " I'm married to her!" he replied confidently. Let's just say Mike would not have offered me his water proof IPOD to kite with if I had said what I was going to say. Oh and by the way Mike, who is a very good guy from Toledo of all places, is going to join this forum. So mind your pints and quart's in regards to the Clarissa comments. Mike and Clarissa have a great program going and we should support it.

Hey Doug

Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you have fun down here. Sorry Clarissa wasn't here, maybe next time. Don't worry it would take a lot to offend me.

to everybody else, this is Mike from the Kitehouse Miami www.kitehousemiami.com. I am a Toledo boy that is now in Miami kiting in the warmest US city during the winter. Next year all you should come for a visit. Our riding spot is sick.

Not yet! We tried 2 summers ago on South Bass island but the wind shut off as we were looking for a place to setup.

Doug told me that Maumee Bay was good, so next time I visit the friends and family I am bring some gear.
