hey all,
I've been in FL for the last three days. conditions couldnt be better. I rode on a 9m and 13m for the last 3 days. There are som sweet pics on my site now from the last couple days. I've met a couple really nice locals. The saves down here are a bit more gnarly though (the sets are really close together). I have one more day riding at pompino beach with the fortlauderdalekitesurfing crew and locals then heading for a possible session in miami before i head out on a cruise sun night. Hope we all get some snow to ride when i get back. Happy holidays everyone

Bryan, sweet pictures.

Erik and I are heading down to Tampa on 1/11/06 and we can't wait!

This 40 degree water kiting in Michigan is for the Penguins!

The cruise was sweet. Im sitting in the airport now waiting to head back to MI. I rode @ 2 of the 4 ports we stopped at. I rode with Ed (from REAL) in Cozumel. Larry (from flint) was down there on vacation as well. We were very powered on 16m's. Hate to say it but i like riding down there a bit better. the water was amazing, warm and blue as can be.

next port was grand cayman, but they closed the port cause it was too windy go figure. so i had to sit that day out and recover from the night before so i guess it worked out ok.

the last stop was Labadee in Hati. We got of the boat and nothing was moving. about 2 hours later the wind started up and cranked. It was possibly sketchiest launch and riding spot ever, but it was well worth it. I rode by 16m again for 3+ then its really picked up and It was time for the 13m's. It was crazy i was a little private peninsula off Hati. The entire cruise was out on that beach too.

more (100+) pics will be up soon from the hole trip.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and have a happy new year.

Yeah - Pretty wild. Debbie and I are kiting at the Country Club beach in Cozumel and I see a Great Lakes t-shirt. Turns out Byran is there on a one-day stop-over. Then a few days later, we run into the brothers Parker and Tom while riding the waves on the east shore of Cozumel.

Michigan kiters are everywhere!

All in all, Cozumel is a great place to ride. Had wind 12 of 16 days. Waves on the east coast were incredible! The local kiting vibe was great. I do have to admit that still in all of my kiting travels (Maui, Hatteras, South Carolina, Florida, Cozumel, St. Lucia, Margarita, Los Roques) that Michigan still rivals all. We are blessed with some very nice beaches and plenty of access. Plus, in fresh water we are still king of the food chain!
