Looks like its gonna be sunny and go west. Keep an eye on it. Conneaut likes these conditions for a bit of a thermal.

Conneaut is up near the OH PA border. Flat water and you can park your car on the beach 10 feet from the water. I threw some pics up in the gallery of the riding area.

Joel...any good places to ride on a west in Cleveland? It would be great to head to Conneaut but I have a few things going on that will make it tough to get away.

The good news is that I put the new neck seal in my drysuit so I am ready for the arctic waters of Lake Erie.

Power plant or vermilion would be your closest best bets. The wind gets better as you go east of cleveland on the west winds.

Great day today!

I've been trying to upload the pictures I took, but it doesn't seem to be working.

When I try to make put them as atatchments, I keep getting the error message :
"You did not select a file to upload", no matter how I try. I DID select a file!!! angry.gif

When I try to create a gallery album, I get:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:

Sorry, there are no available categories to create your album.

I know Jerry had some problems with this as well. Make sure you are in the kiteOH, "general photos" section. Click the "new image" link and upload from there. Also, I'm not sure if there is a limit but if your pics are high res and large files you may need to size them down.

Try once more and let me know if you are still having problems and I'll work with the web guy to fix it. Thanks for the heads up.

Joel

Conneaut went OFF yesterday!!! Me, Saul, Jerry, Tom, Kevin, Chris from Pittsburgh, Seth and Chuck all rode till we couldn't move anymore. It was on the light side when we got there around 11 but within an hour it picked up to 12M conditions and blew till we all left around 6. When everyone was packing up all you could hear were groans of sunburn and soreness. The media was out in full force so there will be plenty of pictures up soon.

Need more ibuprofen.

Sounds like you guys had a killer session yesterday! I guess I could've driven out there. I ended up trekking to Caseville, Mich. and rode with about 8 guys that I hadn't seen since last season.

When I got there around 1 everyone was on 16's so I tossed mine up. About ah hour later it picked up and everyone switched to 12's which we rode literally until the sunset! Super lofty winds which just kept you hanging for what seemed like minutes when you jumped and hella smooth water.

It was hands down one of the best sessions Ive ever had. Can't wait to finally start riding with the Ohio crew next weekend if it blows!

T Pink and I Kited of Mentor Harbor Yacht Club. It was perfect side shore and steady wind. I was just right on my 16 Ted could have sailed a 12. We are members there and have a crash boat at the ready so give me a shout if anyone wants to kite there. We could do down-winders to Headlands! Ted is going to download some pic's.
