When I was getting into the snow aspect I searched for a used board as well. Ended up buying a new one for $100 off overstock including shipping. It has done the trick for 3 seasons now including trips to the local ski hills.

Most snowboard companies have off shoot - generic brand name boards that are still made with good construction that'll last for a few years till you tear the edges completely up.

If you can get 3 seasons out of a 100 board its less than 40 bucks per year. Not bad. All of the used stuff I was looking at was either a beginner board from a mountain (beat to hell) or a really good board someone is trying to upgrade but still charging a crap load cause they spent $400 on it.

Your right in getting quality boots and bindings. Don't skimp on these and the flow bindings work very nice for getting in and out of while flying a kite.

Just a thought.

Hey guys
Well it defiantly pays to work at Sportchek. I had a really shitty exam the other day so i decided that i would go spend some money and make my self feel better. So i decided to go get a snowboard. I got one because im going to be heading over to the states to go snowboarding and snow kiting on this side of the lake. I went to work and saw this 200 dollar board (LTD FURY) on for 100 bucks cause it was last years model and then i saw some Flow bindings and decided that i wanted those to. So i got 20% off the bindings cause i got a board and then my discount popped in and bam under a 150 including tax for a brand new board and brand new flows. woo hoo couldn’t be happier. want to see it click on the links below.

Liked the idea of using shelf rack hooks to put
boards on.
