Hi guys,

i found a little hole in my kite (diameter is 2mm). Its between two "airbones" biggrin.gif How can I fix the hole? Can it tear? I thought to by an airmatress repairkit to glue a piece of gummi on the hole.
What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

Sail tape. Put a very small square on each side of it. Your canopy is made of rip stop nylon so it should not lead to a tear if used under normal circumstances.

I have some friends in Quebec that have been selling kite repair kit for a while now with good success.
You might want to check it out at http://www.kitefix.com/
It's kinda like a first aid kit but for your kite. Their site also have lots of video of 'how to' repair.
The kit might be overkill for bussle problem. Sail tape on each side is probably good enough.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know. Could be usefull to have.

Thanks!

Sounds easy... If you could give me a hint, where to by it? Online? Hope to get it quick and easy.

Thursday looks 18mph, hope to get a chance after work with a repaired kite.

I have numerous little and bigger rips in my X2. Sail tape is cheap and holds really well.
Cheers,

Most boating supply stores have the ripstop tape. I bought mine from west marine and after two years of abuse it still holds together! :)good luck

One other good tip is to round off the corners of the tape so that they don't peel up. And when patching both sides of the kite make sure to offset the patches a little so that you don't get a hard spot or edge when you put them back to back. The hard spot can cause it to tear there down the road.
