I am thinking of purchasing an Ozone foil for this winter season. Is this going to be a better option than my current 12m Naish boxer? I do not have a 5th line on my kite. I hear there are advantages to using foils, especially Ozone on the snow. Any real world feedback would be apreciated.

I would say foils are about 30% less than their inflateable counterparts. Keep in mind you do not need near as much kite on the snow or land. With a 15-20mph wind on the water I am on a 14M, on land all I need is my 8M or even my 5M. I bought a 3M, 5M and 8M just so my son and wife could ride the same day I am. I would think a (2) kite foil quiver would be more than plenty. I would ask a dealer to verify which two sizes would be good. I am not sure if the 4 size rule difference counts for foils or just inflatealbes (ex. 9M 13M 17M)

Ask your local dealer to call the manufacturer to see if there are any last year models or demo kites. They sell these to the dealers at a discount and they pass it on to you, but you need to ask. I did this and saved more than 25% off the same kite new. My kites could not have been used more then once, they are still crispy.

SNOW IS COMING TONIGHT, Bring it on!
