I looked at the NOA site and these (2) Lake St Clair Buoys seem to be right next to each other, are they?

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/EastGL.shtml

The only difference I see on NOA is LSCM4 is a US Buoy and 45147 is Canadian.

If I hit the site and get a reading they are sometimes quite a bite different, just not today (see below). Yesterday they were 4-5 kts different.

Conditions at 45147 as of (8:00 am EDT) 1200 GMT on 10/19/2005:
Wind Direction (WDIR): SSW ( 210 deg true )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 17.5 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 21.4 kts

Conditions at LSCM4 as of (8:00 am EDT) 1200 GMT on 10/19/2005:
Wind Direction (WDIR): SSW ( 210 deg true )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 18 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 20 kts

Do I need to calculate the Canadian money exchange rate to get the true reading or what? laugh.gif laugh.gif

Help a brother out!
