Hey, I haven't been on here in a long time one reason because I haven't had internet and the main reason is because I moved out of Michigan to Knoxville, TN for a new job. Now 1 month into to the job I finally got internet.

So how is everyone doing? How has the kiting been? I heard you have like 25 inches of snow up there now, Is this true? Must be some good snow kiting then if you have that much snow. Well I will not be able to come back to Michigan for the Holidays because I don't have any days off except for Christmas Day, and I just found out yesterday that we would have christmas off. Before that we were suppose to have to work on Christmas. Well I just wanted to see how everyone was and wish you guys a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hope all is well and I will talk to you guys later. I think the earliest I will be able to come back to Michigan for a couple days would be in May but we'll see.

Hey I was just wondering who wants to go to the bar to watch the Wings play the first game of Round two. It should be Thursday night probably around 7:30pm and we don't know yet who we play, well not that I know of.

So who is in to watch the game? We can see where everyone lives that wants to go to see where we would go. Let me know. Thanks

That is true about Northern people. They have nothing too do except drink and drink.

I should be there tomorrow sometime. Someone who has my number call me when you're going out, I won't be kiteboarding but I am always up for a good party.

There was a longer explaination that it could be for a girl or guy kiter and just replace the she with he but it was to long to post that I didn't think anyone would read it all.

I was saying that it couldn't be a women, just posted a shorten version so people would read it.

That just means the kid has to be a kiter so all parties can kiteboard at the same time.

So I haven't seen this form but I'm single so do you others have your wife or girlfriend sign this before you keep them. Here is the wind clause that sounds pretty good to me.

Arty

The Wind Clause

I the undersigned have read, understood and agreed to the following:

I will let kiter___________ (insert your name here) out of any previous plans we may have made if there is a chance the wind might come up. I will never ask him to reconsider our previous plans, OR give him shit for breaking off said plans to go kiting

I will let said kiter ride as often as the wind blows and not make any plans for him/us if the wind forecast shows its gonna blow for days

I will let said kiter out of making dinner or cleaning the dishes if he needs to clean his gear, rerig, or untangle lines.

I will pick up said kiter at any downwind location at anytime if he has it in his heart to do a downwinder. I will rearrange my schedule to fit the optimal wind window for his downwinder

I WILL NEVER tell him he cant spend money on new kite gear, equip, or related paraphenial, even if the money comes out of our joint acct.

I WILL NEVER complain if hes too tired after a day of kiting and he hasnt the energy to engage in coital tenderness. I will eagerly await when he is ready to participate or simply do all the hard work for him.

I will NEVER COMPLAIN that he spends too much time on the water and not enough with me

I WILL LOVE MY KITER FOR BEING A KITER and never ask hime to change

I ________________ (insert girls/boys name here) have read and understood the above statements and agree to comply fully with the bounds of this binding agreement.

I have a 3 kites and a board
05 Slingshot Disel 11meter
05 Slingshot Disel 15meter
05 North Rhino 18meter
05 slingshot SX board.

Hey I have to say that I will not be able to go to the hatteras trip. I have to go this Friday for surgery and can't do anything for 4-8 weeks. Have fun and I'll be wishing that I was down there.

Yes in this Supreme court case is states,
QUOTE
ordinary high water mark.
The ordinary high water mark lies, as described by
Wisconsin, another Great Lakes state, where “‛the presence
and action of the water is so continuous as to leave a
distinct mark either by erosion, destruction of terrestrial
vegetation, or other easily recognized characteristic.’”

What means the waters edge is where the waves change how the beach looks. So that would be at the end of the waves on the beach aka the Water's edge.

I do not mean to get in a heated debate or piss anyone off with is. I am a kiteboarder and a waterfront owner so when someone comes on and interferes with the land or what I'm doing, its annoying. Most water front owner do not care about the walkers, but I think we are getting away from the first issue.

Yes they did but my understanding from SOS is that the appeals court overruled it because of problems lakeowners had of walkers on the beach. One women in particular walking the beach left garbage on the beach and the watefront owner had to clean it up. SOS has been battling the issue for awhile now and I think it was over turned last year or maybe 1.5 ago. Being a shoreowner my family has had problem with the issue, because you ask the DEQ and the Army Corp of Engineers what the high water mark is you will get 2 different answers. I will ask my dad if he remembers what the latest ruling on it is and get back to the board. I would like it to be at the waters edge for numberous reasons.

In Michigan it is a always a debate on what the owner owns to. The edge of the water is considered public but the homeowner owns to the waters edge here. We have had a huge debate on this and I agree that the owner owns to the waters edge. Canada may be different but I would like to keep the ownership to the waters edge in michigan otherwise you get squatters on it that trash it. Its happened by me. Just pick up after ourselves and don't trash it then we can still walk and kiteboard in the water.

I am looking to buy a camcorder to record the few times I am able to kiteboard and when I get pulled behind a waverunner on my surfboard, but do not know what kind to buy. I am looking to spend 300 or so but don't want a shitty one. What is a good camcorder, brand and a good store to buy it at? Please let me know and all info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am in for sure to. Let me know when and where and if you need any help. I will try to do as much as I can and a border cross would be sweet to try and this will get kiteboarding a positive look.

If anyone is looking for a light wind board I have a LFT for sale. The thing is like brand new. I used it for a little bit but I do not ride alot so it was not used a lot. I took great care of the board and looks like it came off the shelf. Ask anyone who has seen it. If anyone is interested in it let me know.

I will be up in Oscoda for the weekend. I am going up either Thursday after work or Friday afternoon after work, but either way I'll be up there and riding in Oscoda and Tawas. Maybe we can have a huge BBQ and bonfire up there.

Yeah since January I have started working out my legs to get them ready for the next leg wrestling tourny that will be coming up. I had a practice competition when I was down in North Carolina and sweeped down there without breaking a sweat so Kyle watch out I'm coming to take the belt.

I have also listed a new trainer Mr. Hulk Hogan but another trainer whos closer would be great.

Its great out, too bad I am working right now doing boring stuff, but get to go outside every now and then to do some work. Let me know how the wind is later in the night.

After work I might go to Metro to rollerblade also but that won't be till 4 at the earliest.

Enjoy the nice Michigan weather well its out because you never know when it gets cold or snows.

Yeah it sounds like it was a fun night in all and I wish I could have made it back there. It's always a blast hanging with kiters even if there is no wind. We where all talking yesterday waiting for the wind and it was great. It was a great reunion with everyone.

Hey Rick you have to watch out for Turtle when you leg wrestle him, he's a little uncontrolable.

Thursday seems to be really good too at least Channel 4 said the wind is suppose to be good.

Surge was almost off his probation but was in violation of probation so it got a little longer now, but soon..

See you guys either thurs or friday. When the NC pictures coming to the site.

It was great times out at Pine Knob, Spend some time on the bunny hills doing the snowplow every time I fell, and had the biggest wipeout I ever took on the bunny hill where some kids where like "Oww that had to hurt." but they went on the regular hills and only fell a few times and not bad at all. I think I'm getting the hang of this snowboarding thing,

One thing is I turn to the right weird but can be a pro over night, wanted to try the jumps but figured it would be good.

All is well a few sore muscles but nothing too bad.

Hey if I go up there I am in for the viewing and tubing thing it sounds great. Does anyone know anyone who is going up there that still needs a room or something?

Also I might be back in for the best wipeout again, although I didn't get any points for the best wipeout last time, sweeping two events should get me some good points.

Let me know,

Hey Eric, Surge, Ryan and anyone going up to Traverse City for the Derby,

I was wondering who is all going up there for that weekend and if you want to share a hotel room so its not so expensive. Let me know who all plans on going. Thanks a lot.

That sounds like a good idea. I'm at work wishing that I didn't hurt so bad. I would gladly take falling snow kiting then landboarding. When the twists come for landboarding it hurts.

Hey it was some great times in Gladwin, who would have thought Gladwin in the winter could be that fun, Kyle happy birthday again and it was great sharing a birthday with some one. My present might have been better but in the end the competition was great. Go figure Gladwin.

Also what about the best wipeout don't I get some points for that? After all it hurt and I still held on to the beer.
