This is probably not the place to land your kite. Please go take some lessons before you screw it up for everyone else! Just a thought on a slow Monday afternoon.

Who was this?

Hi Saul,
I'll be at Mentor Sunday (p.m.?) It is supposed to turn later. Then Conneaut Monday, all day. Looks pretty decent. Not sure about Tuesday.

Keith. Don't head out by yourself. Ride with others. Conneaut is as good a place as almost any here in NEO.

5M. Sounds like it must have been a good session! We have also been getting nuked here in Cleve for the past four days.

I love my 2009 Rebel 14 M and 10 M. \People whine about no center strut. Actually that is a nice weight saving design, but you just have to be sure to pump them up hard.
Yeah. Tomorrow looks like it is going to rock. Today was pretty good (10M at Mentor.)

It butterflied again yesterday. This has been covered to death on the internet...If you are riding in 25+ kts and plan on looping, pump it HARD (so it pings like metal.) I still love the kite.

North just dropped the info on the 2012 Rebel, check the vid

http://northkites.com/public/content/pics_.../index_eng.html

If you've ridden the Rebels you know that they handle very directly and responsively, no sloppy steering. This has something to do with the direct connections, no bridles or pulleys here. You can put them anywhere you want in the wind window instantly, and they still steer perfectly when depowered = never overpowered.

This year they've added a 13m to the lineup, I've got one coming mid September.

My go to kite. So that is a-
Second...
140 pounds and ride my 14M in all sorts of conditions. Two years and has not let me down.

Looking at a few videos of extreme weather shifts in your region might also be helpful.
If you see this coming, get out of the way! Fronts many times will bring a 180 shift in wind direction and sudden, huge increases in wind speed.

thanks for the response. I really liked the wide shot of the kiting spot. Too many times you do not get a perspective of what the surrounding are is like. Isn't that such an important part of the experience.

The riding is great! Keep sending us more.

hi !! i'm a french kiteboarder.
enjoy my video. I'ts just for fun..and for my friend JP production.

thank you for comment.

Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a cool riding spot. Love the rocks sticking out.
I'd say 1:20 of riding in a 3 minute video is too little. Use the edit button more. Oh and get some surfy's for those nice looking waves!

I have had static shock once in Miami at Hobie Beach. The storm front was a good 1/2 mile off. For those of you who have experienced it, it was similar to mountain climbing static charge build up. Lightning can strike far from a storm.

As Tom says, it is not fun.

Take your kite down and take a nap:

This is what we did on Monday as the big storm cels came through.

I've got extra stuff. We can share if you want to go sometime. I just don't have an extra harness.

Hey Thanks! Everything is down there. Looks like my season opener will be after April 11. Looking forward to doing some directional riding with you guys at LP.

73+. That sounds fast! If you fall, do you just slide? Never been on ice or snow and cannot imagine it.

Anyone else out there itching to start posting on this forum?

Chris says there is water 300 yards off the ice at Edgewater. Going finless over the ice to get there?

Anybody on the know for black ice along Lake Erie? Wanting to hit Sandusky or Toledo for some Speedskate Kiting this Monday or Tuesday. Wind looks better for Tuesday. Thanks.

The Toledo guys show some pretty nice conditions.
