WF looks like 18-20 East. Anyone up for Sterling today? I can be there at 1pm or later, prefer not to ride alone. Cheers.

I should be there around 5:30 or so.

Was thinking of heading up to tawas possibly. Anyone else planning on going anywhere specific yet? Looks like Saturday and Sunday might be ridable in tawas.

How was Sterling? I could barely hang on to my 7 at LP! Damn windsurfers always talking me into riding that choppy crap...

It was about the same as LP. I stopped down there early and no one was there so I headed up to SSP. Pretty punchy wind but had a good time.

Sounds like a blast, see you there! A great surf day followed by a 12 hour drive overnight to hatteras, followed by more surf Saturday afternoon. Sleep is over rated!

Couldn't believe no one else ventured out to sterling state park today. Great waves and wind. Nice to get out the surfboard again. Two great days in the last four, hope it is a sign of a good spring!

That was the best March day I have ever expierenced in Ohio. Couldn't believe I didn't need a hood or gloves and had to dip the head a few times to cool down. Great to see three or four kites at old breast bay in March!

I was in Homer AK when they showed up to do some filming and they ended up using my landboard and did some riding on the beach. It was fun hanging out with them and watching them in action. Seeing Sean ride with a prostetic leg is pretty inspiring. I might have a short clip in there so if there are any big named sponsor with a lot of money looking for someone new to bring on board, just PM me and I will have one of my associates get back to you tongue.gif

He isn't from Michigan. He is from the Florida Keys and is an insane rider. I got to watch him ride when I was down there last Christmas and then I ran into him in Alaska last summer. He was there with the discovery channel doing a show about kiteboarding in different places. Definately an inspiration.

Looks like it is going to be a windy weekend. Anyone going out to brave the cold and catch some of the last good sessions of the year? I haven't been to the power plant yet but I hear the water stays pretty warm there. Let me know if anyone is headed put that way and can give me the inside scoop. -Aaron

I would run as fast as possible with my kite hi in the sky, jump over the owner of the dog karate kite style, crash my kite on the non-boardshort wearing Viking, and then play with the great big dog unless it was a poodle! (I would kick the poodle right away and then beat up the owner while focusing on not crashing my kite) blink.gif

Yep, my name and number are on it. I figure it is probably somewhere out in the great Huron abyss.

Just checking to see if my board has washed up on the shores of Atlantis yet. Was hoping it might make it there, otherwise it is probably out in the great blue hole of Huron. Keep an eye out for me. Thanks, Aaron

My wife got yarded off her board and couldn't get back to it today in Tawas. I predict it to land on the beaches of Atlantis tonight so keep your eyes open for it Rick. It is a black liquid force recoil comp 137. My name and number is on it. Thanks, Aaron

for 149.00 if i was just getting into the game thats basically like free. if i could count the hours of trodging the walk of shame up random kite spots on lake michigan it would be EXTREMLEY high. my advice to anyone new to the sport, ESPECIALLY coming into the fall with the best winds, book the next trip out. sooner then later because after one or maybe two downwinders you will be staying up wind at metro or lagoon or wherever with ease. not to mention getting epic glass riding!

You make it sound like you have got the "staying up wind" part down. Congrats Jitters!! Now it is time to come out of your cave and play. I have a trophy to defend!

Is it cool if I ride at brest bay marina?

--- Eric

You can ride at Breast Bay. You need a SSW wind there to be very good. When you go through the gate you just need to go down and park on the left hand side and set up on the beach there. The launch isn't the best but it works. Try not to get your lines in the green algea. The shit won't come off your lines very easy and can creat a huge mess with your lines. Anyway, once you get there and get out it is a great place to ride. Very shallow throughout the whole bay and there is a boating channel to the right as you look out that is deep if you don't want to hit the bottom on a bad landing. Just make sure there is plenty of South in the wind or it is gusty and shitty. -Aaron

I was planning on heading up to Tawas today and changed my mind after watching the forcast just tank. I guess I will never learn to just go pray for MAGIC. Tomorrow is another marginal to no kiting day in Tawas, anyone want to go and hang out on the beach with me?
