kk, I like you're moves, specifically at 1:40. Are you toeside or heel side before you throw that unhooked flip? It' hard to tell cuz I can't see the kite....

PM me if you're interested. It's my next door neighbor's Sea-Doo. He's taken excellent care of it.

Here's some info from an email he wrote me:

I've done some snooping around the net to see what used Sea-Doo's are selling for. Looking at the 1995 Sea-Doo GTX, specifically, I've found a high of $1800 for one that sold recently in Mason, MI, and the Kelley Blue Book retail price value of $1110, not taking into account the extra touring seat (cost $400), life jackets, racing grate and other goodies. The trailer and cover are included, as well, as are a brand new battery and a fresh tank of gas. I'm asking $1550.

deep thoughts......by jitters
I think everyone should buy a plane ticket to the keys for a couple of days! brar will cook up some curry, sid will take some pictures and we can all kite together! what im trying to say is that in one of the fastest growing industries, there is probably enouph to go around. there is definetly enouph room at tawas for multiple shops to reside. I took my first lesson with brian and have bought stuff from him. I ride with kuban and buy stuff from him too. Not to mention buying stuff from my boy KK and the red belly! I vote for no bully tackticz at tawas and no bully tackticz with "customers". My thoughts not yours, just trying to ensure a comfortable summer!

Thanks edt, good catch.

There are two buttons on the "lost and found page".

Button 1: "Report a lost or found item":
This works. You can use this to report the lost board. SesssionAlert users that kite at Harsen's will receive a text message (or email, depending on the user's settings), which explains what was lost or found, and it tells them how to report information if they know anything about the lost or found item.

Button 2: "View lost and found items"
This page isn't up yet. This is the page edt was talking about. It's not exactly needed though because of the way the above button works. I'll either remove this button or fix the page that it links to soon.

Again, thanks edt.

I lost my board, and my EEL leash attached to it at harsens' Island today (Wed. June. 1) If anyone finds it, please let me know. More then willing to give reward.

Its an air rush board white and blue.

Hi David,
If you go to www.sessionalert.com/webapp.php there's a lost and found. Describe your item there and everyone that rides at Harsen's Island will receive a text message. Good luck!

I just re-read your post and noticed that one of the times you couldn't get to your board was during a gail. That makes sense. If it's cranking like that you just get blown down wind (maybe if you have a small enough kite and good skills this isn't the case, but it's certainly the case for me!)

Also, make sure you stay on your tack for a long enough time. If you take short tacks back and forth it will take you longer to get to the board.

Occasionally conditions can make it really tough to get to your board too. I jumped the other day at Sterling and lost my board in the air and landed really far downwind from it. The waves and the light wind were making it next to impossible for me to get to the board. It took me about 20 minutes or so... it was ridiculous.

My guess is you need to tack longer. Keep your body rigid and concentrate on going upwind.

Heading out to Blue Lagoon. Be there around 12. I will post a session alert when I get there.

I'm also thinking about heading out there, but it will be later in the day... maybe around 4.

I've not ridden anything better than my Glide for light wind. Skims are good too... but I can't say I've ridden one that competes with the Glide. However, they are really good for light wind, plus it's another style of riding... I say try one!

Can anyone put me in touch with Aaron Johnson? He's a member of SessionAlert, but some things in his user account are goofy so I wanted to let him know. His email isn't in the system (which is really odd) so I'm trying to get in touch with him. If you know him can you have him email me at wolfie@sessionalert.com?

thanks,
wolfie

I wasn't more specific before because I thought I would get a quick hit. I found a bar, board and wetsuit at Blue Lagoon Wedneday.

If these items are yours please reply to this post with a decription of each or call 248-760-2688.

Cheers.

Hey Bruce,
If you don't hear from anyone you can try the lost and found on SessionAlert. It will send a text message to users that ride at the Blue Lagoon.

I had one in my closet for the longest time, but I'm not seeing it there now. I'm sure it's somewhere. Brarski, you might want to look too - not sure if I'll find it.

Hello, Did anyone by chance come across a spiral tie-down (anchor) attached to a white rope with a carabiner at Blue Lagoon Friday 15th April? I'm pretty sure I left it in the ground by the launch area.

Cheers all,

Michael

Hi Michael,
I added a lost and found to SessionAlert that will send a text (or email) to everyone that is setup to get alerts for the location where the item was lost. You might want to give that s shot. Good luck!

i'm ironing a big blowout patch for my 17, and need some extra patch material.

I'm using the standard method, cut up the blown out part where it's all torn up, insert dowel, iron piece of cut up bladder over dowel on the 4 edges of patch to melt nice seal (use parchment paper so it dont melt), snip end so you can remove dowel and iron end to seal it like usual but I need some extra bladder for the patch.

I have those rubber cement patches but they are too small for this blowout.

I think I have an old torn bladder. I'll look.

I just added a lost and found to SessionAlert. You enter the item and the location. People that are setup for alerts at that location will get a text message. Give it a shot, see if you get lucky....

I don't know who Matthew is, but I wish you'd had a wolfie!

I was there about 3 weeks ago and it already feels like it's time to go back!

Did you guys do any ocean-side downwinders with the dolphins? I had two about 20 feet from me for about a mile - it was incredible!
