If it makes you guys feel any better... Metro never filled in today.

I thought it was good from about 3 until 4. I was on a 13m and small board riding pretty powered up. 11 kites on the water and 3 windsurfers.

I rode powered Thursday at Metro from about 4 until 5 and then the wind died. A nice way to start the season.

Pretty incredible 1st video.

It was nice to get back on the water even if it was a bit weak. Most of the kiteboarders were skateboarding when I rode.

Turtle can certainly throw a great party!

Dismantle has a lot of dedicated fans.

Dismantle even hijacked the name of the party, Monsterfest, and was calling it Dismantlefest.

Agree on a great session at Metro on Saturady. Especially nice because my previous four kiteboarding attempts ended in skunked sessions.

I had to park in the overflow parking and walk.

I think there was around 2,000 + people at Metro on Saturday. I've never seen it so crowded. Lots of large parties

Anyone know of an expert sail repair person? Perhaps we can get a group discount. I just order blue repair tape if anyone is in need of repair tape.

If you're serious, I was happy with my canopy repair from North Sails co-located at Brian's shop.

Are you having problems with it? It has worked well for me

Thanks for the link. No problems. I looked for the data at http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/to_station.shtml but it's not there. I know where to find it now thanks to you. Looks like the same data for Selfridge is at http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?C...82.8819&e=0 which I've been using. I just thought there might be access to even more frequent data than I was getting.

At this point, I'm going to Harsens. Let me know if you're going somewhere else. I'm going to leave my house around 11:30 and get there around 12:30.

The earlier the better today. Some rain is forecasted to start sometime between noon and 3 depending on the forecast. Sounds like the heavy stuff isn't coming until after 7:00 pm. I'll be at Metro around noon also.

Unfortunately, not world class for me. By the time I got there, about 6 ish, the wind shut off. I waded in the water for an hour or so and then came in. No riding. sad.gif

Agree, I thought about going once, but chickened out.

Props to Jontan for skydiving.

I think it's a pretty amazing video. The closest thing to true human flight that I've ever seen, including the ability to:

1. turn left and right
2. descend
3. glide

I was wrong about it being better in the morning. Early in the morning when Mark and I were out, it was really gusty and not to much fun. I took a break and went back out later when more people were there and had a great time.
