Edit - Camp sites full now.

If anyone is interested in splitting a campsite for the weekend let me know. I've got one booked and its just me and my wife with one car/tent so there's room for one or two more cars/tents. Its $90 for the weekend so we can split it between however many cars.

I'll check my PM's or you can call me at 416-277-7769

I think you're just trying to keep the crowds away from the 'bay because of kitestock coming up! You're going to have to try harder than that though!

Jk man that is crazy, had the locals heard of anything like this happening before? Are you the first kiter in ontario to be stung by a catfish?

I'll be seeing you at kitestock but maybe I'll think twice about riding into the glassy sections....

thanks for the scoop nick! Where 's everybody going with the straight south winds.

I think its calling for southwest. Might be wrong, but thats what the weather network is calling for.

Glad its so warm the sun was nice and hot when I left on my bike this morning. Should be good I'm gonna leave around noon.

Jerm are you still interested in selling the 144? Does anyone know if he still checks this board?

Is there any 5th line cleat on the smart loop? Or is it just the trim line adjustment? I couldn't see tell from the info on the internet.

I'm not sure how much they are. You could probably find some on the internet, but I think dakine makes some that are more permanent/durable that might be worth a look. I'm switching to bindings next season cause I was finding the same thing (especially trying to learn frontrolls....). There's also the ol' bicycle tube route...

The screws popping out isn't a good scene. As I'm sure you were worrying about stripped threads, sucks to hear it didn't go so well. Also be aware that the included heel straps will eventually snap. They're pretty crappy that way. But if you mount them on the biggest setting first and you can then snap your way in wink.gif

finally got it. damn the screws suck that come with the bindings. u have to go through 3 pices and the clip just to hold these to the board

Its definitely tight but my time proven technique for getting these suckers on is to undo the strap so its two pieces and then install them rotated 180 degrees so that you don't have to bend them or squish the footbed.

normal is --><-- instead install them like this <-- -->

Then once they're screwed in, just spin them around over the footbed and mate them up.

I'm sure its not a good sign for the ecosystem, but it sure is nice to have somewhere to self launch from and switch boards at! I can't believe its sand to the channel now!

Sorry to hijak the thread, but how are you liking the surf suit? Yesterday was pretty cold and a drysuit seems tempting...

I'm gonna hit m-bay or metro. Depends on how west the wind shifts by 10ish. Kingsville is a possibility but I don't really want to ride alone down there. More likely to be people at metro or m-bay. And there was a nice beach at m-bay last week for rigging, launching and switching boards!

Just got back, awesome session lit on my 16. Lots of big boosts, at least until I couldn't hold enough of an edge to send the kite, then I had to head in. Big thanks to steve for lending me a harness, not to mention that his dog was awesome, chasing him allover the bay!

I skipped out because of the rain we got all morning. Being next to a river is just a tad too sketch after not having rain for a while! Sorry tim! Glad you got out though, and hopefully I'll see you saturday at the bay!
