Can you give directions to the spot?
Thanks.

I just drove there on Saturday, not knowing exactly where it was and found it pretty easily. I believe it's pretty close to Miller, Michigan, or just a little more down the road. You can't miss it. There's a small grassy area and a turn around. There's also a sign that says something like, "Private Road, Old Club, Members Only". Check out http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&formtype=search&countryid=US&addtohistory=&country=US&address=&city=miller&state=mi&zipcode=&historyid=&submit=Get+Map and route directions from your house. I used my GPS. If you have a GPS, the coordinates are:
N 42 32.936'
W 082 39.544'

It took me 1 hour and 10 minutes from Royal Oak with construction on I-94. Probably 50 minutes to 1 hour with no traffic.

Beautiful spot. I'd love to live on the island.

On Saturday, there was about 100 boats clustered in the same spot that I assume we would want to kiteboard. Hopefully, there's not as many boats out there on a windy day.

The mapquest map is right on although I have not seen signs or references to any town of Miller. I suggest taking your normal Metro route but go past the Metro Pkwy exit 7 miles to hwy 29 east through New Baltimore, go about 15 miles on 29 and on the west end of Algonac look for signs to the Harsens Island Ferry. Once you cross the Ferry ($5 u.s. covers both crossings) turn left and follow hwy 154 down its curvaceous and scenic 10 miles to the end cul-de-sac where you will see kites and smiles. An option for Cannucks is to get up to Wallaceburg and cross the Walpole Island Ferry into Algonac, a very chill border crossing.

I'm hoping to try a V4 (20 & 25 meters), wind conditions permitting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. I will have a lot of gear rigged up.

So, how was it today and tonight? I got out of work later than I wanted and wasn't able to make it. I hope to go out to Harsens Island on Thursday.

Steve,

Demo was great, turnout was great and wind was a little gusty and shifty. Around 6:30pm the weather tunred and it was really nice for about 2 hours but overall not the easiest day to be on the water due to the variable conditions.

I was able to get out there on Thursday and had a great session with everybody. Kyle and others said the wind conditions were better than Wednesday.
